This travel alarm clock is the result of a live project, designing accessories for C.P. Company. The visual language, derived from vintage cars, relates to C.P. Company's reference to the Mille Miglia race. Elements are also borrowed from the Japanese tea ceremony and a ritual must be performed in order to change the clock settings The detachable clock face changes colour in order to indicate the time. The necessity to act out the ritual, is intended to encourage a time of centring and relaxation amongst a busy lifestyle. By placing the clock face strategically, the changing colours are meant to reduce anxiety about time, by communicating subliminally through the periphery of the user's activities.
